I identified the need for a central information source and led the project from idea to full realization, including concept development, content coordination and stakeholder communication.
During my work for the Bond van Cannabis Detaillisten (BCD), I noticed an important gap: a central source of information about the Experiment Gesloten Coffeeshopketen. The complex legislation and regulations and the wide range of stakeholders, such as municipalities, policymakers and coffee shop entrepreneurs, made it necessary to make information clear and accessible. This inspired me to develop the concept for www.wietexperiment.com.
Approach
As initiator and project leader, I devised and realised the entire project:
Concept development: On my own initiative, I developed the idea for a central source of information into a concrete concept.
Content creation: Wrote and structured all texts, such as timelines, frequently asked questions and updates on legislation and regulations.
Marketing and stakeholder communication: Developed and coordinated communication campaigns and wrote letters to stakeholders, including members of parliament, municipalities and entrepreneurs.
Collaboration: Led the collaboration with web developers and designers to realise a professional and user-friendly platform.
Launch and management: Ensured a successful launch and implemented a sustainable content plan to keep the website up to date.
Result
Website: A central, accessible and professional source of information that bundles all relevant aspects of the experiment.
Stakeholder communication: Consistent and effective communication to all parties involved, reinforced by clear and well-organized letters and marketing materials.
Impact: The website increased transparency and understanding of the cannabis experiment, resulting in more trust and cooperation between policy makers, municipalities and the coffee shop sector.
