Speaking gigs and podcast appearances
In addition to my strategic and substantive work for the coffee shop sector, I am regularly asked to be a speaker and guest in podcasts. These appearances enable me to make complex themes such as cannabis regulation, the weed experiment and banking issues accessible and understandable to a wider audience. They also provide a platform to bring the Dutch coffee shop model and current challenges within the sector to the attention of policymakers, entrepreneurs and the public.
With my contributions to panels, keynotes and podcasts, I focus on:
- Putting regulation and legalisation on the agenda as a necessary step for a future-proof cannabis policy.
- Putting consumer rights central and promoting safe use through harm reduction principles.
- Connecting entrepreneurs, policymakers and consumers to take steps together.
- Regulation and legalisation: Creating a stable and future-proof cannabis policy in which coffee shops offer transparent and safe access to consumers.
- International cooperation: Positioning the Dutch model as best practice in European and international discussions on cannabis regulation.
- Consumer rights and harm reduction: Ensuring that the consumer is central, with attention to safe use, good information and accessibility for everyone.
Through keynotes, panels and podcasts I work on awareness and connection between entrepreneurs, policy makers and consumers. I focus on bridging differences, sharing insights and strengthening the cooperation that is needed to make progress.
